Reference

  • datamonger-package

Reproducible Retrieval and Decoding of Public Research Data

Datamonger retrieves public research datasets through immutable registry selectors, verifies exact artifact bytes, and verifies decoded logical values against a cross-language canonical digest. The package performs no telemetry.

  • datamonger_cache_dir

Select and Manage the Private R Cache

Datamonger uses the cache returned by tools::R_user_dir() by default. An explicit path can select another persistent or temporary location. Eviction is manual, and active objects are skipped.

  • dim.datamonger_csr_matrix

Inspect a Sparse Matrix with Large Dimensions

Datamonger normally returns sparse features as a row-compressed Matrix. When a declared dimension exceeds the Matrix integer limit, it returns a datamonger_csr_matrix that retains the exact dimensions and CSR arrays. These methods report its dimensions and a compact summary without allocating a dense matrix.

  • fetch_data

    Retrieve or Inspect Registered Data

Resolve a dataset within one strongly selected registry. Artifact size and SHA-256 verification cannot be disabled. Decoded verification is enabled by default and may be disabled only explicitly.

  • format.datamonger_int64

    Display Exact 64-bit Integer Values

Datamonger stores signed 64-bit integers as decimal character strings so that values outside R's exact numeric range retain all their digits. These methods display those strings without converting them to floating-point numbers.

  • print.datamonger_registry

Display Registry, Fetch, Dataset, and Cache Metadata

Print compact summaries of Datamonger metadata objects. The methods read the object's fields without retrieving data or inspecting the cache again.

  • registry_selector

    Select an Immutable Registry Release

Construct, discover, set, or inspect a strong registry selector. A catalog lookup is TLS-trusted discovery; recording and reusing its returned release and digest creates the reproducible selector.
